​ABOUT TMA
Transformation Ministries Africa (TMA) is a non-profit, non-denominational Christian organization based in Nairobi, Kenya with ministries that reach out to men, women, youth, singles, married couples, leaders and the church as a whole in an endeavor to see entire communities transformed for Christ. TMA was founded in 2006 by Rev. Lee & Sandy Weiss and their son in-law and daughter, Rev. Victor & Sarah Kabutha.

The Weiss family originally came from the United States where Lee pastored several churches before moving the family to Kenya as missionaries in 1986. Very quickly is was clear that Kenya was much more than a mission field and it became their home where they would dedicate the rest of their lives to faithfully serving the Lord. Lee and Sandy were part of OC International (now One Challenge) and Youth for Christ International where they were involved in training pastors and leaders, developing curriculum and prayer ministry before founding TMA.

Victor Kabutha was born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya and gave his life to Christ as a teenager in high school. He had an almost immediate desire to serve the Lord and right after finishing high school he became very involved in his church and ministries like Youth for Christ as well as leading a group of seven young men who sang Acapella music in churches and events around Nairobi. Victor met Sarah Weiss in 1993 and they connected over their shared gifting in music and desire to attend Moody Bible Institute. Victor and Sarah were married in June 2000 and in 2003 after graduating from Moody, they returned to Kenya where Victor served as the National Director of Kenya Youth for Christ until 2006 when they founded TMA.

TMA began out of the Weisses and Kabutha's passion to expand their ministry to help men, women and young people not only give their lives to Christ, but practically live out their faith and purpose God created them in a way that will draw others to salvation. 

TMA is legally registered with the government of Kenya and is accountable to an executive board. TMA is also under the umbrella of Ripe for Harvest World Outreach in the United States which helps to manage tax deductible donations from churches and individuals, legal requirements, and more.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. 

We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.  

We believe that, for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential.  

We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.  

We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

  • PRAYER - We are committed to  developing a lifestyle of Prayer through the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, , reflected by Character Integrity and Holiness. 
          1 Thessalonians 5:17-18: “Pray continually, giving thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

  • SCRIPTURES - We are committed to the  Scriptures as the foundation and final authority for life and ministry. We discipline ourselves to study it diligently, apply it daily and teach its truth to all people.
          2 Timothy 3:16:“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and  training in righteousness!”

  •  INTEGRITY - We are committed to personal and organizational Integrity in lifestyle, relationships, finances, ministry management and responsible evangelism and discipleship.
         Proverbs 11:3: ”The Integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”

  • LEADERSHIP - Not pursuing Leadership for personal gain, power or glory, we are committed to servant leadership, setting an example for those we lead.
          Mark 10:45: “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

  • PEOPLE - We are committed to People believing that men, women and young people can become emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually mature.
         Ephesians 4:12-13: “To prepare God’s People for works of service, so that the body of Christ may…become mature, attaining to the whole measure of           the fullness of Christ.”

  • ​CHURCH - We believe that the Church is the expression of the body of Christ & are committed to partnerships with the local church in fulfilling the Great Commission.
         Ephesians 1:22: “God placed all things under [Christ’s] feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church which is his body.”

  •  MOBILIZATION - Knowing the size and urgency of our task we are committed to Mobilization of all available resources to accomplish our mission.
          Philippians 4:19: “My God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus!”
